"I adopted a 4-month-old cat from the Pet Smart in Tupelo in July/2008, and
 that was the first time I'd heard of your organization. He is solid black with big
 yellow eyes, and I renamed him Sam. We're nearing his second birthday around March,
 and I just wanted to let you guys know Sam is the most affectionate, appreciative cat 
I've ever owned. I spoke to someone at your organization shortly after adopting Sam, 
and from what little she could tell me about his backstory, I learned he and his
 littermates were rescued from a situation of severe neglect and near-starvation. 
He was then nursed back to health in a foster home so he'd be ready for adoption,
 and when I got him, he was still very skinny and had a dull coat. Today, he's a
 healthy weight and has the shiniest glossy coat. I have told every animal lover I 
come across about your organization and the important work you do. I hope to one day 
become more involved with 9 Lives, hopefully as a foster home. Keep up the great work
